Regulation of Lobbying

Section 6(4) of the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 (Designated Public Officials) Regulations Act (S.I. No. 424/2024) requires the CRO to detail the office’s Designated Public Official (DPO), as defined in the regulation, in order to allow members of the public identify the relevant official, and to provide lobbyists with the necessary details when they are filing a return to the Lobbying Register.

The Designated Public Official of the CRO is Maureen O’Sullivan, Principal Officer.

Maureen O’Sullivan holds the statutory posts of Registrar of Companies, Registrar of Friendly Societies and Registrar of Beneficial Ownership of Companies and Industrial and Provident Societies with responsibility at Principal level for the operation and management of the Companies Registration Office, the Registry of Friendly Societies and the Register of Beneficial Ownership of Companies and Industrial Societies.
